What's that smell?

We finally moved in the house this past Saturday and as we settle in we continue to gather more pieces of the house's story and of the family's who lived there before us. I was told by the next door neighbor that the previous owner volunteered with a Golden Retriever rescue group. She apparently had a lot of dogs in the house. We're still finding gobs of hair in strange places and urine spots on the floors and walls. Last night I turned on the oven for the first time and our kitchen filled with the odor of hot dog pee. It was SO strong and utterly disgusting!!! I was worried that my magic cookie bars would come out smelling or tasting like urine, but they didn't. The smell seems to be coming from the outside of the stove. Maybe the floors and walls? Does anyone have any good ideas of how to get rid of the urine smell? I'll try anything!!!
