...that our landlady (who is very nice) would actually change her mind for the positive and allow us to get a Newfie. We need something to feel like we're moving forward in life and both feel that this would be the perfect next step for us. Newfoundlands, while large dogs, are the perfect breed for our situation (ok, minus the smallish apartment).

So yes, please be praying, everyone, that this would go the right direction this time around.

NB: Both Cheryl and I both had dreams within a few days of each other after the first go-around (when she said "yes, maybe, no definitely not") that she changed her mind and said "yes." [Insert Twin Peaks music here....]
